PERFORMING ARTS TROUPE
The Soul of DAWN theater ministry is an evangelistic tool designed to reach people in places where the preach word is not accepted or allowed.
We use theater as an entering wedge into the heart of the urban community by taking the message to the community and presenting it in a way that they can understand and that relates to their living situation.
The message of our performances is designed to:
- Get their attention
- Minister to their need
- Win their confidence
- Bid them to follow us as we develop a productive and profitable life here on earth and to get them ready for the earth made new.
We take our performances to schools, community centers, churches, homeless shelters, drug rehab centers, outdoor performances in parks and public housing developments and into any other door that swings open to us.
One Hour 2 Live
Our present project is a dramatic performance entitled ONE HOUR 2 LIVE - a play designed to curtail GANG RELATED MURDERS.
One Hour 2 Live is a fictional dramatic performance that's an all-too-real revelation of what happens behind the scene when you take another person's life.
The play takes place in the head of a gang member on death row, with one hour to live, before his execution, for the murder to two neighborhood acquaintances. The dead people, whom he murdered come into his jail cell and expose all the unseen ramifications that take place when you take another persons life. They get him to understand that when he killed them, he ended his own life, as well as all of his future possibilities.
This play is designed to highlight the value and sacredness of human life.
